Trimdextra is another over the counter weight loss product that claims to be the best option available for dieters to lose extra fat more quickly and easily. This one is a newcomer to the marketplace, having only been released in 2013. It is nonprescription and is available for purchase online.
Find Trimdextra Online
This diet pill is manufactured by Advantage Pharmaceuticals, LLC. Though a search was made for an official website for that company at the time of this Trimdextra review, one could not be found. That being said, there was an official product site for Trimdextra and it has a large amount of information including a “Live Chat” online instant messaging feature that provides instant information from friendly customer service reps.
Aside from live chat, there is also a contact form, an email address, a 1-866 toll free number, and a mailing address. It is rare to be able to find that much information about a diet pill on its website, so the makers of Trimdextra should certainly receive applause for that effort. It always speaks well for a brand when they have a customer service team ready and waiting to answer any questions that potential buyers and customers may have.
How to Take this Diet Pill
This product is a capsule and is meant to be taken with water about a half hour before breakfast and again before lunch. At the time of this review, a one month supply of Trimdextra was available on the official website for $49.95 (a sale price from a usual $99.95), though there were limited time offers advertised for buying more bottles at once for a lower price.
The purchase of Trimdextra from the official website is supported by a 90 day satisfaction guarantee, in which dieters can return up to one unused bottle if they find that they have been unsatisfied with other bottles of Trimdextra. It does not mention any guarantee for opened products, however, so this appears to apply only to consumers who purchase multiple bottles.
Although it is good that some type of guarantee does exist, it is disappointing that the manufacturer does not appear to refund customers who purchased only one bottle and who are dissatisfied. This rather negates the whole “satisfaction” guaranteed concept. One might expect more from a company who has taken the time to put a lot of effort into their customer service, after all.
What are the Ingredients?
The Trimdextra ingredients as listed on the official website include:
- Phytosome Green Tea,
- Irvingia Gabonensis,
- Coenzyme Q10,
- Green Coffee Bean Extract,
- Caffeine Anhydrous
The claims are that this product will help to suppress the appetite, burn off body fat, and increase the metabolism in order to provide faster weight loss. Though the website does talk about “studies” that prove the effectiveness of each ingredient, and it provides charts to support those claims, there is no actual citing of studies either with links or mention of medical journals in which they were published.
Possible Stimulant Side Effects
A quick look at these ingredients show that this product contains a number of stimulants and that it may come with the risk of stimulant-linked side effects if they are used in high enough doses per serving. Among these potential unwanted side effects include:
- Herat palpitations
- Upset stomach
Additionally, studies have found that stimulants, such as caffeine, can cause sleep disturbances, especially when taken too close to bedtime and even as long as 6 hours before bedtime. As such, not only is it important to take this dietary supplement as it has been prescribed, but to also control your caffeine consumption beyond what you are ingesting with these diet pills (e.g. coffee, tea, energy drinks, etc.).
It would also be in your best interest to speak with your healthcare provider before taking Trimdextra to make sure it is a safe option for you. This may be especially important if you have an existing medical condition or if you are take other medications or herbal supplements.
September 2019 update –This product has ceased to be available for purchase online at reputable retailers and an official site does not exist. It is highly likely that Trimdextra has been discontinued.
