CLA Supreme

CLA Supreme reviewCLA Supreme 2000 is a dietary supplement designed to support healthy weight and optimal metabolism. It is produced by Potent Garden and claims to be the best in CLA weight loss supplements.

Each softgel contains only one active ingredient: Safflower Oil (containing 80% of CLA). There is 2,000mg per serving and each serving size is made up of 2 softgels. Users are instructed to use this product as a dietary supplement and to take 2 softgels once per day with an 8 ounce glass of water or as directed by their doctor.

How does CLA Supreme help you lose weight? CLA stands for Conjugated Linoleic Acid, which is a naturally occurring fatty acid that is found in dairy products and meat. Proponents of CLA as a weight loss aid say that this trans-fat can help people shed fat, maintain weight loss, maintain lean muscle mass and even help control type 2 diabetes.

Studies have found that CLA can lead to some weight loss, most notably in women with a high BMI. However, not nearly enough scientific studies on humans have been conducted to determine the true effectiveness of this fatty acid on weight loss. Furthermore, it is not known how safe CLA is as a supplement because some of the risk factors that have been found in studies included a slight raise in bad cholesterol and a slight reduction in good cholesterol, higher leptin levels and only slight changes in blood sugar levels.

All that being said, there is no telling if CLA Supreme, or any other weight loss supplement containing this ingredient, will help you lose weight or keep it off. That said, for optimal results, it is recommend that you take this dietary supplement in conjunction with a healthy diet and regular exercise.

As for side effects, the most common are gastrointestinal upset and discomfort. That being said CLA should be avoided by individual with bleeding disorders as it might slow down the blood clotting process and may increase the risk of bleeding or bruising. It should also be avoided by individuals who have diabetes as it can worsen the disease. Likewise, anyone with metabolic syndrome should also avoid CLA as it can increase the risk of these individuals developing diabetes.

As is the case with any supplement, whether it is taken for weight loss or not, you should first consult with your healthcare provider before taking CLA Supreme to make sure it is the right choice for you.
