Metabolife Green Tea

Metabolife Green Tea reviewMetabolife Green Tea is a diet product that is manufactured by Metabolife International. That company manufactures a range of different supplements under its brand name and is based in San Diego, California.

The company recently underwent a number of legal struggles that came from some false claims that had been made by the company’s founder, and from certain activities by the company to conceal evidence from the Food and Drug Administration, with respect to ephedra, which had previously been a primary ingredient in another product manufactured by this company called Metabolife 356. Ephedra is illegal for use in weight loss and many other supplements in the United States as it has been associated with many powerful side effects and has been linked with at least one death.

Metabolife Green Tea does not contain ephedra. According to the official website, it helps to encourage weight loss by increasing the metabolic rate in the body. By following a reduced calorie diet and a regular exercise program, the best results can be achieved with this pill.

The ingredients that make up Metabolife Green Tea include SuperCitriMax®, garcinia fruit extract, green tea extract, guarana seed extract (standardized for caffeine), yerba mate leaf extract (standardized for caffeine), and caffeine.

Clearly, this product is based primarily on stimulants, as nearly all of its ingredients contain stimulants such as caffeine, including the SuperCitriMax, green tea extract, guarana seed extract, yerba mate leaf extract and, of course, the caffeine itself. In fact, each tablet contains 60 mg of caffeine. Each serving requires two tablets to be taken, and this is done three times per day. This is quite a bit of daily caffeine and will be sure to produce side effects in anyone who is sensitive to the impact of stimulants.

Every bottle of Metabolife Green Tea tablets contains 90 pills. As 6 tablets need to be taken every day (2 pills taken 3 times), this means that one bottle lasts for only 15 days. Therefore, though the price tag of $24.99 may look affordable, that must actually be doubled every month to $49.98 for the full dose. This is not the most expensive product on the market, but it is certainly pricy considering that it is made up primarily of caffeine – the equivalent of 1 to 2 cups of coffee per dose.

It is highly recommended that a doctor be consulted before starting the use of a product like this one.
