There is a lot of food out there parading around as being healthy and good for dieters when the truth is that it does more harm than good. The false information currently circulating about foods can make it very difficult for regular people to know what they should be eating at any given time of the day.
In fact, the odds are that most people make at least one part of their breakfasts out of foods pretending to be better for diets and health than they actually are. You may be doing the same thing every morning, thinking that you’re doing yourself a favor, when you could be eating the breakfast to avoid. Continue reading
According to recently released data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), almost half of all women across the country are obese. Obesity among women is growing. This suggests that women are becoming overweight and obese at a faster rate than men. This was shown in the obesity report the CDC conducts once every two years.
The study showed that 41 percent of women in the U.S. are currently obese, whereas 35 percent of men in the country are obese, showing a rise in the rate among women but keeping men at about the same rate they’d experienced in the previous study. The question that now needs to be answered on this subject is why growing rates of obesity among women is occurring, and why it is happening more dramatically than for men. Continue reading

Those hormonal changes in the body can lead people to experience mood changes, aches and pains, water retention and many other effects. For instance, hormones and diet are in a constant battle.
That said, some of the more subtle impacts of hormones are not as easy to detect and they could actually be the culprits behind the challenges you are experiencing in losing weight. Many people experience a time of fatigue in the middle of the day as a result of estrogen levels. Continue reading

No matter how much weight you have to lose, dieting does require you to make some changes to your lifestyle – temporarily or over the long-term – and doing this comes with certain side effects. While some of those are easy to predict, others can be quite unexpected and can take you off guard.

According to the results of a recent study that was conducted in the United Kingdom at Plymouth University, a few minutes of playing Tetris can actually bring the severity of your cravings down to a far more manageable level during your weight loss diet. There has been a trend that has been taking off over the last decade or two and that is only continuing to get larger, and it involves taking apple cider vinegar to lose weight. This has involved swallowing tablespoons of the stuff, mixing it with water and drinking it, or swallowing it in the form of capsules in order to be able to obtain the benefits that many claim that it has within the body.
First thing’s first. All apple cider vinegars are not created equal. The majority of the claims surrounding this substance are specific to actual apple cider vinegar, which contains the “mother apple”. It will usually specifically say that it contains apples on the label, and the liquid should be cloudy, not clear. In fact, it will usually have sediment on the bottle that will need to be shaken up into it again every time it is used. Continue reading
