ErgoCut is a thermogenic fat burner from ErgoGenix designed for those who want helping losing weight and those who are looking to keep up with their training to achieve a fit body. This diet supplement supposedly helps provide users with appetite control, increased energy and thermogensis, enabling the burning of more calories.
Each ErgoCut capsule contains N-Acetyl Tyrosine, Forskolin – 10%, Caffeine Anhydrous, Acetyl-L-Carnitine, Tyrosine, Sulbutiamine, Mucuna Pruriens (L-Dopa 98%), Capsimax®, Theobromine, N-Methyl Tyramine Hydrochloride, Higenamine Hydrochloride, Guarana Seed Extract, Bioperine, Huperzine A 98%, Ubidecarenone (Co-Q10).
How do these ingredients help a person lose weight and get fit? Here are the benefits of each according to some research (note: there is insufficient evidence to prove that taking any of these ingredients will result in weight loss):
N-Acetyl Tyrosine can boost alertness levels. Forskolin may increase lean mass and decrease fat mass. Caffeine can boost alertness and increase performance, delaying fatigue and increasing pain threshold. When combined with aerobic exercise it can help improve fat burning. Acetyl-L-Carnitine boosts mental focus and reduces mental fatigue and may also raise levels of serotonin and noradrenaline which may lead to fat loss. L-Tyrosine can boost mood and alertness and reduce stress. Sulbutiamine may improve memory. Mucuna Pruriens can help increase the body’s growth hormone levels.
Capsimax is a patented form of Capsicum annuum, which allows the body to burn more calories during and after exercise. It is also supposed to increase thermogenesis, suppress appetite and be even more effective when combined with caffeine. Theobromine boosts energy and alertness. N-Methyl Tyramine Hydrochorline may induce lipolysis (break down of fats). Higenamine Hydrochloride stimulates lipolysis and energy expenditure. Guarana contains caffeine and may enhance fat oxidation, suppress weight gain, and may have cognitive enhancing effects related to reaction timing and memory. Bioperine helps the body to better absorb nutrients. Huperzine will help to improve memory and focus. Ubidecarenone can lower bad cholesterol.
ErgoCut contains 15 ingredients. While this may sound impressive, the reality is that the more active ingredients a product has, the less likely that there will be enough of each substance included to be effective. Moreover, the greater number of ingredients the higher the risk of adverse effects.
According to ErgoGenix official ErgoCut product page, users are directed to take 2 capsules, two to three times per day and are cautioned not to exceed 6 capsules in a 24 hour period. Each bottle contains 120 capsules, which works out to be a 30 day supply if users take 2 servings (4 capsules) per day.
While you can take up to 6 capsules per day, there is a good chance that if you took the full daily dose that you will certainly experience negative side effects, particularly those that are stimulant-related due to ErgoCut’s 200 mg of caffeine per serving. Considering a single cup of coffee is about 100 mg, taking 3 servings of ErgoCut daily would be the equivalent to having 6 cups of coffee per day. What’s more, this supplement also contains other stimulants, including Guarana, which is said to be very high in caffeine.
On the whole, it appears that, ultimately, ErgoCut is little more than a caffeine pill. Users are likely to feel energetic and alert, but they are also at an increased risk of experiencing unpleasant side effects such as jitters, insomnia, headaches, increased blood pressure, increased heart rate, heart palpitations, etc. Also, keep in mind that simply because caffeine can boost your energy and improve your exercise performance, this doesn’t mean that it will cause weight loss. In other words, there is no guarantee that this product will work.
At the time that this review was written, ErgoCut could be purchased online. That being said, it would be in your best interest to consult with your healthcare professional before taking it.
