Absolutely Full is an appetite suppressant that works to help you curb food cravings, feel fuller faster and find greater satisfaction with smaller meals. It is manufactured by Absolute Nutrition.
This stimulant-free dietary supplement works to make you feel fuller faster by slowing down digestion and impeding excess calories from entering the bloodstream to lower the after-meal glucose spike. It is a fiber-based appetite suppressant that contains only one active ingredient: Glucomanan (as Luralean TS).
Each serving size is made up of 2 capsules and contains 1,000 mg of glucomanan (also known as Konjac Root Fiber). Glucomanan expends in the stomach when it absorbs water. This expansion helps to fill up the stomach and, not only can it supposedly help you feel fuller faster, but may also hinder the breakdown and absorption of dietary fats by eliminating bile acids from the small intestine, safely removing them from the body and preventing the spike in glucose that usually results after consuming food. It may help to reduce both sugar and cholesterol levels as well.
It is recommended for users to take 2 capsules, 15 minute prior to a meal and to take the capsules with plenty of water. The suggested amount of water to drink per dose is a minimum of 10 ounces, but the more water the better.
While glucomanan may possibly be effective for treating constipation, improving cholesterol in people with high cholesterol, and may help to lower blood sugar levels, blood pressure and cholesterol in people with diabetes, there is insufficient evidence in regard to its effect on obesity.
Although early research does suggest that taking glucomanan orally may improve weight loss in overweight and obese adults and children, studies have been conflicting. More research needs to be conducted to determine the true benefits and effects this substance has in relation to weight loss in humans. In short, there is no guarantee that taking Absolutely Full will cause appetite suppression, curb food cravings, make you feel fuller or keep you satisfied with smaller meals.
On the whole, glucomanan is considered to be relatively safe to take, but side effects are still possible. Since it can cause blood sugar levels to drop, this could be problematic for people who suffer from hypoglycemia. Common side effects of low blood sugar include light headedness and dizziness. Glucomanan may also cause gas, diarrhea, constipation or other stomach discomfort. Drinking sufficient water is important when taking glucomanan to help reduce side effects.
