Ab Igniter Black is a fat burner that is marketed as a strong and powerful diet pill. From Top Secret Nutrition, this dietary supplement has been designed to provide an energy boost without a crash, stimulates thermogenesis, burns fat at a cellular level, and improves mood as well as helps with focus.
The Ab Igniter Black formula is made up of an Energy Blend [Caffeine Anhydrous, Guarana Extract (22% caffeine)], Mood and Focus Booster [Siamese Ginger extract, Huperzine A (Huperzine Serrata whole leaf extract), and Fat Burning Duo [Nelulean Nelumbo Nucifera Seed, Yohimbine, Capiastra, Black Pepper Extract).
While this OTC diet pill certainly contains a variety of ingredients that it claims help make it an “Elite Strength Fat Burner,” the reality is that Ab Igniter Black is little more than a caffeine pill. What’s more, due to its high caffeine content, it has the potential to cause some serious unpleasant side effects.
Potential side effects that may occur when taking this product include: jitteriness, sleep disturbances, rapid/racing heartbeat, heart palpitations, increased blood pressure, sweating, headaches, nausea, etc.
Furthermore, aside from containing both caffeine and Guarana (which contains caffeine), this product also has yohimbine, which can boost the effects of caffeine, and it also has black pepper which boosts the absorption of other ingredients, increasing the risk of side effects.
Just how much caffeine is in it? A serving size (2 capsules) contains 300 mg of caffeine, which is more than a single cup of coffee, which contains anywhere from 95 – 200 mg of caffeine. Moreover, the suggested use is to take 2 capsules 10 minutes prior to meals. It is recommended that users first assess their tolerance by starting with only 1 pill per day until their body adjusts. No more than two capsules should be taken per serving and no more than 6 pills (that would be 900 mg of caffeine) should be exceeded daily. Users are cautioned not to take pills too close to bed to prevent problems with sleep.
Also, at the time this review was written, while the official product page for Ab Igniter Black recommended taking the pills in conjunction with a “clean balanced diet” and regular exercise for best results, it doesn’t caution users to avoid ingesting caffeine while taking it.
It is strongly recommended that you first speak with your healthcare provider before you take Ab Igniter Black, especially if you are currently taking other medications or supplements or have an existing health condition. Those with caffeine or stimulate sensitivities should avoid this product entirely.
Finally, aside from increasing alertness, there is no scientific proof that any of the ingredients in Ab Igniter Black are beneficial for weight loss. In other words, there is absolutely no guarantee that taking this product will result in loss of fat.
